“Sail training provides a uniquely powerful and extremely effective environment for the personal development of young people from a diverse range of backgrounds. Residential voyages aboard our 3 Vessels Alba Venturer, Alba Endeavour and Alba Explorer are safe, yet genuinely demanding, and the often unpredictable nature of sail training requires a high degree of interaction and both mental and physical commitment. The twelve voyage crew aboard are accompanied by six highly qualified sea staff. Young people complete their voyages having increased their confidence, responsibility, respect, resilience and ability to work as part of a team. More than that, they will have expanded their horizons, made new friends and have memories to treasure for a lifetime.”

The Ocean Youth Trust Scotland's offer of a week-long sailing adventure for young people between the ages of 12-24 is an exciting opportunity. The offer at a cost of £300 is reasonable, considering the adventure, personal growth, and skill-building opportunities that come with the voyage. The cancellation of the last-minute booking creates a chance for young people to take part in a unique and rewarding experience. The fact that there are limited places available with only 12 places for 12-15 year olds and 24 places for 16-24 year olds means that interested parties should contact the Ocean Youth Trust Scotland as soon as possible to book their spot. It is encouraging to see that the Ocean Youth Trust Scotland provides young people with an environment that promotes personal development, respect, responsibility, teamwork, and resilience. The adventure aboard the vessels Alba Venturer, Alba Endeavour, and Alba Explorer, will undoubtedly expand the horizons of young people, giving them memories to cherish for a lifetime.
