As we anticipate the move to Protection Level 4, I thought you should know that the Cold Turkey (Sunday, 27th December with a 12:30 race start) event can go ahead (weather permitting - the forecast is not good) within the C-19 guidelines but with some further restrictions.
We are permitted organized events of up to 30 people within the 'Field of Play' bubble for non-contact sports. Sadly, this means that rowing will not be possible (unless the entire crew is from the same household or bubble) and the same would apply to 2 -handed boats. The safety boat volunteers are from the same household and we have a Race Officer too (thank you all). The Clubhouse will still be closed apart from one toilet and the Race Office and there will be no social/catering event. You will probably want to bring along a flask of soup or similar to help keep you warm. Intending participants must Signup using the TEAMUP calendar for sailing, so we keep compliant with Test and Protect protocols; as always thanks for your cooperation with this. You should also take precautions (conservative & cautious!) such as fitting a mast head float to minimize any contact with the safety crew.
