SUP Training and Coaching

We provide a range of training and coaching opportunities through the year. The "SUP Events" calendar panel on this page or the main Calendar provide details of these opportunities. You will generally need to book/signup for training and coaching sessions using the Signup link on the particular event once you have selected it.

Beginners SUP Coaching Session

Beginner course for those not yet confident on SUP. This four week course will cover all the basics needed to get you on, standing and paddling confidently and safely. Your own wetsuit and suitable water shoes are required. The club can provide a paddle board and buoyancy aid.

These courses are led by club coach Claire Scott, Accredited BC SUP coach, #Shepaddles Ambassador & WiSE Accredited Wildlife safe operator.

Check the club calendar for latest dates.

Intermediate local SUP trips and coaching

The emphasis of these intermediate sessions will be coastal or inland trips by SUP with some improver coaching input during the journey.
Minimum experience: SUP paddlers will already have some experience and be comfortable paddling standing on your board in waves and winds up to force 3.

Sessions will be run by club coach, Graham Bull - a qualified paddlesport coach and trip leader in sea kayak, canoe and paddle boarding, with over 18 years paddling experience.

Check the club calendar for latest dates.
