Chanonry Quaich (2nd Wednesday Series) Race 1 is scheduled
on Wednesday, 25 Jun 19:30 start.
Race Officer and his helpers,
can you please use the new sailwave file '2014 Chanonry Quaich V0.blw' which is stored in the club computer.
Thank you for using Sailwave.
All results this year have been submitted in Sailwave and it makes quicker online publication on the CSC website. This is great.
Web Management Team
Did you know that only half of the UK’s coastal waters are inadequately surveyed, and the figures are even worse in Scotland?
TeamSurv is a project where you and other sailors can help to fill this information gap, creating better charts for all.
You may have seen us on the BBC here, or in this July’s copy of Yachting Monthly. You can also see our web site at www.teamsurv.com.
This summer we are having a recruitment drive on the West coast of Scotland, and I’d like to ask you if you’d like to participate. All it needs is for you to have a GPS and depth sounder on the boat – we supply a small data logger that connects in to the instruments and logs data onto a USB memory stick, and you just take out the USB stick and upload the contents through our web site. It doesn’t cost you anything, and only takes up a minimal amount of your time.
The processed depth data is made available to you and other participants as printable chartlets and, shortly, as electronic charts in a number of formats. We also make it available to organisations such as the UK Hydrographic Office and Marine Scotland.
Please go to the web site and click on Join In to sign up and participate (if you have a fleet of boats, you need to sign up separately for each one – we can do this for you, if you want). If you have any questions or want to discuss it further, please send me an e-mail or give me a call.
