Club Dinghies
The Club owns a number of dinghies used mainly for training. The fleet consists of 3 Optimists, 3 RS Teras and 1 GP14 and by agreement with the 1st Avoch Sea Scouts we have access to 4 Topaz Uno +. They may only be used when there is safety boat cover. They are available for use by members with suitable experience (equivalent to RYA Level 2) following satisfactory completion of an induction session (contact the Training Principal or Sailing Secretary). Use is on a first come first served basis and must be noted in the Club boat record book in the race office and paid for in advance. Failure to comply with these conditions of use will jeopardise that member’s future use of Club boats. There is a charge towards maintenance/replacement of £5 per single-hander and £10 per GP14 (different charges apply on Friday Club sailing evenings – see below) – to be placed in the clearly marked box in the race office.
Please note the strict requirements, laid down in the web site, for responsible adults to accompany all children sailing under the age of 16.
