A message from Helen Robinson.

The second sail to Rosemarkie Beach in memory of Grenville will take place, weather permitting, on Sunday August 30th, setting sail at 14.00.

I have suggested that anyone interested in sailing congregates at 13.00 to be allocated to boats and to check they have appropriate clothing/ life jackets.

Low water is at 15.20 (NB this is in the High water column in the handbook!). Everyone is welcome to come in at Rosemarkie beach to the Old Mill for soup and sandwiches, as last year, which is kindly being provided by the Eilean Dubh restaurant in Fortrose.

For non sailors food will be available at The Old Mill from 3pm. We will need to set sail for return at about 16.30, and I hope we will all be safely ashore by 18.00.

I would be very grateful to know who is likely to take part and how many extra crew they could take. I do not have many relatives this year, but Gren’s Lifescan colleagues have expressed interest. Last year there were more places than people to sail, but I am not sure that will happen this year.

Last year was a wonderful sail, out, round the point with seals, and back with dolphins.

Please let me know if you are coming:-

1) to sail (and how many places you could have) and

2) for catering purposes, if you and your family are wanting food.

Here’s hoping for gentle conditions and a good sail.

If weather bad you are all welcome to have a walk on Rosemarkie Beach from 2pm and back to the Old Mill for food.

Kind regards

Helen
